Marketing Manager Description – 2026

The Needham Farmers Market, Inc. Marketing Manager is responsible for the following tasks:

1. Supervise and control access to the market location on Garrity’s Way at the Needham Town Hall on market days starting from approximately 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. For example, clearing of personal vehicles parked in the area so it is clear from approximately 9 AM and is clear before vendor vehicles enter the market site. The Market is open for business from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. No vehicles of any kind may move in the market site during business hours.

2. Supervise vendors to set up, operate, and take down within their designated setup spots. Facilitate safe power cords, adequate tent weights, any Board of Health public health requirements, and Needham health permit compliance.

3. Communicate to all those with spaces allocated in the upcoming market via a weekly email with the site plan and any announcements for the upcoming market day.

4. Interact with the customers and vendors to promote an orderly and safe market day. Assure that those in attendance may walk safely in the vendor areas. Manage any market monitor staff to that end.

5. Obtain (or have) ServSafe and also food allergens training. Monitor the market to operate within the ServSafe and allergy safe parameters. Provide guidance as needed.

6. After the market closes for the day, assure that Garrity’s Way is clear of debris.

7. Report any issues that cannot be resolved on site to the Farmers Market President for resolution.

8. Attend the once monthly board meetings via remote access.

9. Interact with the board during vendor acquisition by helping vendors apply, assuring that all application requirements are completed, and managing space assignments.

10.Report on site market activity on a weekly basis (customer attendance, snap data).
